Resto emozionato di fronte al disco che è giunto nella redazione di Deliri Progressivi.
Si tratta di un chitarrista belga per la precisione di Turnhout, mr Hans Van Even che premetto non conoscevo affatto. Ho usato un verbo al passato perchè d'ora in poi questo signore e soprattutto il suo disco entrerà a far parte della mia ristretta playlist di preferiti. Sto per farvi conoscere un disco meraviglioso dal titolo "Stardust Requiem".
Leggo dalla bio che ci ha inviato che precedentemente ha aperto i concerti di molti grandi artisti, faccio volentieri qualche nome: Joe Cocker (R.I.P.) Christopher Cross e John Miles. Leggendo noto che si tratta di un guitar hero quindi è un cd completamente musicale. Mi metto all'ascolto e via....
Il disco si apre con "Angeli Ex Galaxia" una intro decisamente in stile Pink Floyd che ci trasporta direttamente sulle note della title track "Stardust Requiem" una vera e propria cavalcata hard rock che vede un duello di note tra Hans ed il suo graditissimo ospite il grande Tony MacAlpine.
Il modo di suonare di Van Even è talmente leggero, che fa scorrere il tempo velocemente, si passa da un pezzo hard come "Tribute" dove ospite troviamo stavolta il chitarrista Brett Garsed (che ritroveremo anche più avanti), ad uno come "N-Land" dove il suono cambia completamente e si passa ad un emozionante reggae molto notturno style.
"Mystic Tale" fa risalire il ritmo e fa tornare sul rock. La successiva "Flight Of the Belgian bumbl Bee" fa riprendere a volare il magico calabrone in modo quasi cinematografico con l'aiuto di Mark Dall'Anese. "The Space Is Crying" che mi ricorda un po' Eddie Van Halen è una intro perfetta per addentrarci nel rock di "The Fifth Gate", bella e melodica allo stesso tempo. "Walking In The air", e la new age trasforma in poesia la musica. "Tribal" riconsegna le note di Hans Van Even all'hard rock, bella e decisamente aggressiva. "Tapping Into Eternity" lo dice il titolo è una vera lezione di tapping musicale. "Red Sun" è un altro bellissimo pezzo d'atmosfera notturna. "Glassy Sky" densa di atmosfera jazz ma mai complicata e noiosa. "Hans'Blues" è il titolo stesso che ci dice di cosa parla. Un delirio blues molto ricco di amici ospiti. Blues d'atmosfera come questa seconda parte dell'album. "From The Stars" ci rimette in pace col mondo. Il suono si calma lasciando respirare l'ascoltatore, chiudendo gli occhi ci troviamo su ... tra le stelle. "Song For Ewena" è poesia acustica che ci porta nel viaggio finale formato da: "Farewell Overture", "Farewell theme" e "Farewell Final" un viaggio acustico, amorevole e poetico che ci ha fatto volare velocemente l'ascolto di 77 minuti di vera maestria. Hans Van Even con questo disco ha l'occasione di conquistar cuori metallici e cuori romantici allo stesso tempo.

I’m so excited in front of the disc that came the editorial staff of Deliri Progressivi (www.deliriprogressivi.com).
He’s a Belgian guitarist exactly from Turnhout. I’m sincere but I didn’t know Mr. Hans Van Even. I used a verb in the past, because this gentleman and especially its work, never live my life. Now on they’ll became part of my favorite playlist. I am going to introduce you to a wonderful disc. The title is "Stardust Requiem".
About his bio he has opened concerts for many great artists, I gladly make a few names like: Joe Cocker (RIP) Christopher Cross and John Miles. He is a guitar hero so this cd is a completely acoustic. I start listening and go on ....
The disc opens with "Angels Ex Galaxia". This intro is like Pink Floyd’s style, it takes us directly the tune of the title track "Stardust Requiem" a real hard rock between Hans and his guest Tony MacAlpine.
Van Even plays sofly, so time slides quickly, switching from one hard piece as "Tribute" . Here, we find a new guest: the guitarist Brett Garsed (he’s present in other too). In "N- Land ", the sound is completely different and it goes to a very exciting reggae style- night. "The Mystic" gives the original the rhythm and returns on the rock sound.
The next is "Flight Of the Belgian bumbl Bee" . It does resume flying the Hornet so it’s seem to be almost in magical film with the help of Mark Dall'Anese. "The Space Is Crying", which reminds me a little Eddie Van Halen.
It is a perfect intro to go deeply into the rock of "The Fifth Gate", beautiful and melodic at the same time.
"Walking In The Air", and the new age turned poetry into music. "Tribal" returs hard rock notes, so beautiful and very aggressive. As the title says "Tapping Into Eternity" is a true lesson in tapping music. "Red Sun" is another beautiful piece of nocturnal atmosphere. "Glassy Sky" is a dense atmosphere of jazz but never complicated or boring. "Hans'Blues" is the title that tells us what it's about. A delirium blues full of guests friends. The Blues mood is part of this second in the album. "From The Stars" loses at peace with the world. The sound takes quite, leaving to listening to, closing our eyes. So we are on ... between the stars.
"Song For Ewena" is acoustic poetry that takes us into the final journey. It consists of: "Farewell Overture", "Farewell theme" and "Final Farewell". It’s a loving and poetic fly in 77 minutes of skilful art.
So, concretely in this way, i think that Hans Van Even’ll be able to conquer metallic and romantic hearts at the same time.
